Mao Zedong

Vienna 2011

Client: World Museum Vienna

Everyday objects and the many forms of political propaganda in the period between 1966 and 1976 are the focus of this exhibition curated by China expert and former ORF journalist Helmut Opletal. The Chinese “Cultural Revolution” certainly has two faces: the search for an egalitarian and ideal society on the one hand, inhumane political campaigns and the destruction of priceless cultural assets on the other. In the exhibition, these contradictory sides of Chinese contemporary history and everyday culture are deliberately examined critically. Smooth realization of similar exhibition projects is our strength. We support our clients in the project planning and accompany them, if necessary, up to the complete realization.
