Prinz Eugene – Commander, Philosopher and Art Lover

Vienna 2010

Client: Belvedere Museum Vienna

A Frenchman by birth, Prince Eugene of Savoy became one of the most influential Austrians after his rapid rise and illustrious career as a general. His summer residence in the heart of Vienna, now home to one of the country’s most important art museums, presented an exhibition dedicated to its former owner in 2010. The show featured exhibits from his rich art collections, primarily paintings from the Galleria Sabauda in Turin and cimelia from the Bibliotheca Eugeniana in the Austrian National Library, in line with the original room decorations. Our focus in this project was in the area of showcase construction and object assembly.
