James Cook

Vienna 2010

Client: World Museum Vienna

James Cook owes his fame, which continues to this day, to his three expeditionary voyages in search of a suspected southern continent and a northwest passage between Asia and America. About 500 exhibits from museums and collections around the world told the story of his voyages and their results. The exhibition featured valuable cultural objects of the nations from the Pacific Islands and the Northwest Coast of North America, including impressive featherwork, decorated bark raffia and carvings, as well as the implements of daily use. Some exhibition projects show a good fit as a traveling exhibition, since they highlight the topics which engage visitors from different continents. On this occasion we assist our clients with market research, project planning and stakeholder communication. We can also take care of the exhibition management, including courier coordination, art transportation and insurance, as well as provide our clients the on-site technical support.
